Is There A New "C'mon! Live A Little!" This Week?
Is the pledge drive still on? Did we miss it??
As we approach and hopefully achieve then bypass our goals, we can all look forward to that gratifying post-pledge-drive moment when we unleash the pent up floodgates of overwhelming gratitudinal outpouring.
THANK YOU, both to everyone who kicked loose with the requested cashola, and also to those of you who, in choosing not to donate, managed to endure our shameful begging without switching allegiance to some other web based oldies/lounge station. Your efforts are very important too.
As for our Mr. Bostrom, host of Saturday's "C'mon Live A Little" program, he asked us to relay to all of you how much he personally appreciates the vote of confidence your underwriting represents. If it weren't for the the generosity of you the listener, well, he'd just have to find something else to do with his time. Which isn't to say he doesn't value those special moments rutting around in his closets looking for things to throw at the broadcast.
This time, he's brought along tracks by Garry Blake, Chris Waxman, Shirley Scott, Frank Valdor, Berry Lipman, Anita Kerr, Les Reed, the Exotic Guitars and the Impact Of Brass. But he's most excited about his old recording of "Sound Of Love" by Peter and Lee. He knows nothing about this record, but he says he knows gold when he hears it. Here's hoping you do too.
