Choosy Art Luvvers Choose Luxuria!

Recently, we were thrilled to discover the artwork of Chris Reccardi at a group show in Palm Springs. We were equally thrilled to learn that Chris was himself a fan of Luxuria, per his recent testimonial/bulletin on MySpace:

"Hello Friends,

Forget that other crap called radio you've been not listening to while stuck in traffic. If you havn't already discovered Luxuriamusic. com, check it out. No this ain't spam either, so get your hand offa that mouse.

The swinging sounds of the 60's and more, everything from Bossa Nova, Surf, Psychedelia, lounge, Go-Go to, uh....well you get the picture.

This stuff has been fueling the long hours preparing for my next solo art show "Mono" opening in 2 weeks in Seattle, and as the name implies, is a direct shot of some of the greatest stuff ever written, recorded and performed. And some amazing obscure covers of classic hits.

Luxuriamusic is non-profit, and have like, one or 2 commercials and some very cool DJs, like Switched-On Audrey for example (Sundays 2-4pm) who is my fav.

They need new listeners, and support, so if you dig it, please consider becoming a member and parting with say, $25 bucks a month, it won't kill ya, trust me. And it'll get ya alot farther than halfa tank of gas."

MONO is the latest solo exhibition from reknowned designer/cartoonist/painter Chris Reccardi, who has contributed to The Ren & Stimpy Show, Samurai Jack and "Shrek 3 & 4, as well as conceptual art for new features currently in development at Dreamworks and Sony Pictures Animation. Limited edition prints of Chris's new and past work will also be available for purchase at the show. In MONO, sixteen vibrant new pieces of art follow the inhabitants of a mysterious mod-styled world, their sense of aloneness, and their common bond to a secret code.
