Soon after, she began spinning at the "Rave Up!" and then "Cavern Club" in Hollywood. It was there she met Domenic Priore and co-produced/wrote/and starred in It's Happening!, a '60s-styled go-go show in the style of Shindig and Ready Steady Go!  After the show’s six-year run, she moved to Europe where she became the resident DJ of the UP Club! in Frankfurt.

Jamie-Alice Capo

The Sugar Shoppe
Saturdays 10 am - 12 Noon

Lady Capo crash landed in the lap of Luxuria after years of hosting a kids radio show on KCSN. Taking her cue from Japanese fashion mags, legendary UK DJ John Peel, vintage spy flicks, and infamous Los Angeles music mavens like Greg Shaw and Long Gone John, it was only a matter of time until this retro Disney-damaged, tiki mug collecting Hollywood native became immersed in the heart of West Coast cool kid culture; Performing Japanese voice-over work, singing on demos for local record labels, and being invited to the grooviest parties/events/recording sessions in town where she soon found herself rubbing elbows with the likes of everyone from Donovan and the French duo Air, to reclusive singer/songwriter Emitt Rhodes and Grandpa Supersonic himself: Kim Fowley.

Felacity Dickman

Felacity Dickman - Radio Readymade - Alternating Fridays 9-10 PM PST

Veteran music business barnacle who doesn't collect records [1], has never lip-synched anything into a vacuum-cleaner hose [2], and thinks low quality, poorly-processed audio ephemera are where it's at [3], Felacity Dickman is both eminently under-qualified [ref needed] and delighted to host her own show on luxuriamusic.com.  Listen to Radio Readymade on alternating Fridays and you'll wish you'd thought of it first.

Kat Griffin

Kat Griffin – Madly Cocktail
Wednesdays 5 PM - 7 PM

Kat has produced and hosted a variety of programs in Los Angeles Public Radio, but none is as close to her heart as Madly Cocktail. She did it on KCSN for three years before moving it to KJAZZ, directly following legendary jazz programmer, Chuck Niles. Badly battered by “spirited” phone calls from serious jazz fans, Chuck offered her some advice. “Listen, babe. We played this stuff in the day and they dug it. Now they think it’s something else. Just remember- it’s all music.”
