Well, sir...glad ya had a good time, but also that you didn't exhaust SoCal's entire supply of hedons*. Turns out da wife and I are planning to drive down that way right after Labor Day to hang with Wonderful Daughter of our own. We'll try and make one of CK's gigs in OC if that's still going on, and we'll DEFINITELY be present when Melissa does her thing at Boardner's in Hollywood on Friday the 10th. (More on that shortly.)
*"Hedons" are a term coined by an old friend of mine to quantify units of pleasure (derived from the same root as "hedonism". The same individual also promoted the use of "megaWHAT?s" as a measure of confusion, and "milliHelens" as a rating scale for attractiveness in women. (Helen of Troy was according to legend the most beautiful woman there ever was, so the allure of any other could supposedly be denoted as some fraction of a "Helen". Personally, I've known a number of ladies to whom I felt compelled to attribute some even greater level of esteem, but I digress...)
Things were lots of fun, the weather was to-DIE-for-gorgeous, but as this was merely a "surgical strike" (as in, I was only down there for about, oh, 50-some hours total), I really didn't have much time for anything of the Heavy Duty Luxuriant-variety....
