last fm

I think a lot of people don't know what Last FM is. I added the group (my user name is Dewflive) but I'm afraid that I only understand maybe one in ten Polish words, and that's only because I'm from Schenectady (we had a prominant statue of Casimir Pulaski overlooking Veteran's Park, and another local monument for Thaddeus Kosciusko. You'd think it would be possible to get a decent golumpki around here, not so!)

Unfortunately it's not a Polish site :)

The biggest disadvantage for me is that it don't scrobble music when you listen to Luxuria.. however, it's still good to unite and see what we are listening to besides the radio.

In the battle for attention we have automated radio like Last.fm (I read those user playlists, I don’t listen to them) and human programmed (well, if you generously count in Luxotron) like this. Of course both are better than terrestrial radio stations, but I prefer Lux as long as I can choose and using this commentary feature to pull attention from here to there (last.fm) is wrong. Try and make last.fm listeners come over here! Hey, a button for my blog would be nice, something like Kawentzmann most recently listened to bonbon & the cookies - tooth ache at luxuriamusic.com

Indeed I'd rather hear a live DJ play things they brought from home, but Last FM's automated radio is handy for one thing I've found - you can play your own music collection at work (or anywhere else) without having to tote a flash drive / hard drive / iPod around.
