Well, my most favoritist Luxuria favorite to have on a deserted island would be Tea and Sea. But that is another story (in what seems like from another life time).
this is actually a list of mine I made several months ago, but anyway. I kinda regret it, though. that most of the tunes are not on rotation anymore. Here's the list anyway:

Really? I noticed that the Jeri Southern version isn't played too often, but there's another version by a female singer, whose name I can't recall right now (but I personally prefer the Jeri Southern version).

Does Resident Filters have anything released besides "Big Train"? That song is the only song by them that shows up on Amazon. I don't remember it at all, but if it's a rip-off of something else, that would be par for the course of a lot of music that turned up on Luxuria -- retro updating, etc.
Any idea which tracks on Luxuria are currently in heavy rotation? Just curious. If I had a broadband connection I would listen more often.
Here's the tentative playlist for a 3rd volume of Luxuria songs that I've compiled. I'll probably move a few around. I really like Henry Manicini's "Party Poop." I don't know if they played it on Luxuria, but it definitely fits the aesthetic.
Ennio Morricone: Robodog
Nicola Conte: Il Cerchio Rosso
Piero Piccioni: Abigaille
Bruno Nicolai: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Les Baxter: Tropicando
Henry Mancini: Party Poop
Unknown: Swing a Little, Kim a Little
Nicola Conte: Arabesque
Dudley Moore: Goodbye George
Otto Sieben: Curley Shirley
Optiganally Yours: Gepetto
Montefiori Cocktail: Gne Gne
Amon Tobin: Chocolate Lovely
The Blue States: Spit and Soar
Henry Mancini: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Sven Libaek: Solar Flares
The Bran Flakes: Apples
Francesco Demasi and Aless Androni: Tema Di Londra
Francesco Demasi: Diamond Bossa Nova
Klaus Wiisthoff: Opel Commodore
Asha Bhosle: Dum Maro Dum
The Real Tuesday Weld: At the House of the Clerkenwell Kid
Arling & Cameron: Spacebeach
Ursula 1000: Le Fini
1) I've never had "Big Train." I'm just not a Resident Filters fan. The opening sample of that is from a Terry Snyder Command label track and most of the resident is a nearly verbatim replay of "Soul House" by Max Greger, a German production library music composer.
2) Chuck and Cliff set certain tracks on the Luxuria playlist to Heavy Rotation.

Hey Litlgrey, I wasn't paying attention when you posted that -- I didn't realize you had edited my list to include everything you owned.
The Byron Werner stuff wasn't really on my "wish list," I just included it for the sake of interest. But he did play a ton of great stuff, much of it worthy of a "Luxuria desert island" status. I have some of that, but I'd love to have copies of The Plastics, Steve Hillage, Spanky & Our Gang, and some other tracks.
So you don't have "Big Train"? It seems to be out of print. I remember Jack Diamond including it among his favorites. I don't remember how it goes, but I wrote down that it was "great," so at some point I'll have to make sure to listen to it again.
Like I said, feel free to make a 3rd "best of Luxuria" compilation. Better yet, everybody can mail me CD copies of their faovrite stuff, and I'll compile them into however many volumes it makes, and then send copies of the finished product back to everybody who contributed.
Another cool thing would be to jam as many Luxuria songs on .mp3 as can fit on one CD, then put the player on "shuffle' mode so it would basically be like having Luxuria radio. This, of course, would only be for people on dial-up or with .mp3 players in their cars.
Byt he way, are any of the tracks on this Luxuria in a "heavy rotation" mode, or is at all random?
I don't remember when you responded about the Luxuria songs you have (that I don't have). Was that in this thread, or a different time/place? You should send me the stuff you've got, I need more music! If you do I will make a Luxuria Vol. 3 and give you co-credit or something like that.
